Highlands High School to Honor Baseball Legend Eric Glaser with Jersey Retirement Ceremony FORT THOMAS, KY — Highlands High School is proud to announce a special event to honor the remarkable achievements of Mr. Eric Glaser, a Hall of Fame alumnus and baseball legend. A Jersey Retirement Ceremony will be held on May 4th at 11:30 AM at Highland Park, before Highlands plays Madison Central. Glaser is a proud member of the Class of 1997 and has left his mark on the history of Highlands High School athletics. His exceptional talent was on display as he was named to the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association (KHSBCA) 1st Team All-State in 1996 and 1997, and was the Runner Up for KHSBCA Mr. Baseball award in 1997. His outstanding career led to his selection as a 2nd Round Draft Pick by the Boston Red Sox in 1997. His achievements set a high bar for future athletes at Highlands and underscored the caliber of talent that the school nurtures. In recognition of his contributions to the sport and his alma mater, Mr. Glaser was inducted into the Highlands High School Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018. The upcoming Jersey Retirement Ceremony is a testament to his enduring legacy at Highlands High School. The school invites all students, staff, alumni, and community members to join in celebrating Eric’s remarkable career and contributions to the sport of baseball.
